SDChat allows you to share developer files of any format up to 2 GB per file:

How to upload: Drag and drop files anywhere over the chat window, paste screenshots directly from your clipboard (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V), or click the paperclip attachment icon.
Chunked & Resumable: Large archives, disk images, and videos are uploaded in 5 MB chunks with SHA-256 verification. If your network drops, uploads resume automatically.
Rich In-Line Previews: Instant high-definition image lightbox, seekable audio/video streaming with HTTP 206 range requests, PDF previewer, and syntax-highlighted code file viewer.

Encryption & Privacy Architecture

SDChat is built specifically for confidential developer teamwork:

AES-256-GCM Encrypted at Rest: All message contents are encrypted before hitting MariaDB using authenticated AES-256-GCM with per-conversation HKDF-SHA256 derived keys.
Invite-Only Access: New registrations require explicit authorization by the workspace owner (Sidmilfhunter@gmail.com).
No Tracking & No Cookies: Zero Google Analytics, zero telemetry trackers, and zero third-party dependencies loaded at runtime.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start a Direct Message or Group Chat?

Click the DM or Group button at the top of your sidebar. Search by username or email to start chatting immediately.

How do I edit or delete a message?

Hover over your message and click the Edit or Delete icon in the floating action menu. You can also press ↑ (Up Arrow) when your composer is empty to quickly edit your previous message.

How do reactions work?

Click the emoji smile icon on any message to react with standard developer emojis (👍, 🚀, ❤️, 👀, 🎉). Clicking the reaction again removes it.
